FORLIK uses only cookies and storage technologies that are strictly necessary to the operation of the service: keeping you signed in, holding your basket, securing access and remembering your display preferences.

We place no advertising tracker, no third-party audience measurement tool and no social network pixel, and we carry out no profiling for commercial purposes. That is why no consent banner is shown to you: there is nothing to consent to.

Cookies and equivalent technologies

A cookie is a small file placed on your browser by a website. Other technologies produce the same effect — the browser’s local storage and, in our mobile applications, the application’s private storage.

This policy covers all of these technologies without distinction, because the regulations treat them identically: what matters is not the technical method, but the fact that information is written onto your device.

Placing a non-essential tracker requires your prior consent. Placing an item that is strictly necessary to the service you have requested is exempt from it. FORLIK uses only the second category.

Our position: only what is strictly necessary

We have chosen not to instrument our interfaces. The list below is not a selection: it is everything FORLIK writes onto your device.

Dine-in ordering (QR). If you order at the table without creating an account, your browser holds a session identifier that links you to your own orders — that is what allows you to follow their progress and add an item to them. It stays on your device until you clear the site’s data.

What we do not do

By architectural choice, and not merely as internal policy, the following practices are absent from our interfaces:

  • No third-party audience measurement tool and no behavioural analytics.
  • No advertising tracker, no retargeting, no third-party ad network.
  • No social network pixel or button embedded in our pages.
  • No session recording and no replay of your navigation.
  • No sale or making available of browsing data to third parties.
  • No advertising profiling, neither on the web nor in our applications.

The only measurement we carry out concerns our own content — knowing whether an information card displayed in our applications has been seen or opened. That measurement is attached to your account when you are signed in. It remains internal, tracks no navigation outside our interfaces and feeds no third party. It is described in our privacy policy.

Why there is no cookie banner. The purpose of a consent banner is to collect your agreement before non-essential trackers are placed. FORLIK places none: asking you for a consent with no object would be a misleading formality. Were we to introduce such a tracker one day, your prior consent would be collected, and refusing would be as simple as accepting.

Strictly necessary third-party components

Two functions of the platform rely on specialised technical providers. They act in the service of how the platform works, never for advertising purposes:

  • Bot protection — on the sign-in and publicly accessible ordering pages, in order to prevent automated sign-ups and orders.
  • Base maps — to display the campus map when you choose your delivery point and when you track your order.

These providers receive the technical data inherent to any internet connection (IP address, browser type). They have no access to your account, your orders or your payment methods, and they do not use these connections for advertising or profiling purposes on our behalf.

Your choices and their consequences

You remain in control of what is kept on your device, at any time and without going through us:

  • Web browser — your browser’s privacy settings allow you to review, block or delete a site’s cookies and local storage (Chrome: Privacy and security · Safari: Privacy · Firefox: Privacy & Security · Edge: Cookies and site permissions).
  • Mobile applications — the FORLIK applications do not use cookies. The information kept is held in the application’s private storage and is deleted along with it when the application is uninstalled.
  • Signing out — signing out ends the authentication session on the device used.
Because these items are strictly necessary, blocking them has immediate effects: you will no longer be able to stay signed in, your basket will not be held from one page to the next, and ordering may become impossible. This is not a restriction we apply, but the technical consequence of their absence.

Changes to this policy

This policy is updated whenever a technical or regulatory development makes it necessary. The applicable version is the one dated in the header of this page.

Any substantial change — in particular the introduction of a category of trackers subject to consent — will be the subject of prior notice and, where applicable, of a collection of consent before anything is placed.
